Privacy notice

Last updated 2 November 2026. The short version: this website doesn't collect your details, doesn't use tracking cookies and doesn't sell anything.

Who we are

D&R Mechanical Services is a family-run garage at Mollands Farm, Mollands Lane, South Ockendon, Essex RM16 6RX. You can reach us on 01708 857890 or 07710 515529.

What this website collects

No forms post to us. The booking boxes on the contact page build a WhatsApp message inside your own browser. Nothing you type is sent to or stored by this website. It only reaches us if you press send in WhatsApp.
Visitor statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you; it records things like the page visited, the referring site, the country and the type of device.
Maps. Map pages load map tiles from OpenFreeMap, which receives your IP address in order to send the tiles, as any web server does. No cookies are set.
Hosting. The site is hosted by Vercel, whose servers keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the service.

When you contact us

If you message us on WhatsApp or ring us, we use your name, number, vehicle details and anything you tell us to arrange and carry out the work, and to keep a record of the work for the vehicle. WhatsApp is run by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd under its own privacy policy. We keep job records for as long as we need them for the work and our accounts.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website doesn't set cookies. The WhatsApp reminder bubble remembers that you closed it using your browser's session storage, which clears when you close the tab.
