Batteries and electrics
D&R tests and replaces batteries, alternators and starter motors, and tracks down electrical faults on cars and vans, including lights, sensors, central locking, windows and wiring. A slow crank on a cold morning or the battery light coming on while you drive are the usual early warnings.

Batteries and electrics: common questions
Anything else, ask D&R on WhatsApp. Photos or a short video of the problem help.
Build a booking messageWhy does my battery keep going flat?
Either the battery can't hold a charge any more, the alternator isn't charging it, or something keeps drawing power with the car switched off. Testing all three tells you which, so you don't buy a battery you didn't need.
Do stop-start cars need a special battery?
Yes. Stop-start cars use AGM or EFB batteries built for frequent restarts. A standard battery usually fails early in one, and the stop-start system may stop working.
