Timing belt replacement
The timing belt, or cambelt, keeps the engine's valves and pistons in step. On many engines a snapped belt lets them collide, and the damage can cost far more than the belt. D&R replaces timing belts, tensioners and water pumps on all makes at the interval your manufacturer sets.

Build a booking messageWhen does a timing belt need changing?
It depends on the engine. Manufacturers give a mileage and an age limit, whichever comes first, commonly somewhere between 60,000 and 100,000 miles or 5 to 10 years. Belts age even when a car isn't driven much, so a low-mileage car can still be due.
Does my car have a belt or a chain?
Send the reg on WhatsApp and D&R can tell you. Chains are designed to last much longer, but they can stretch, and a rattle for a few seconds on start-up is the usual warning.
