Suspension and steering
D&R repairs suspension and steering on cars and vans: shock absorbers, coil springs, wishbones, bushes, drop links, ball joints, track rod ends and power steering faults. A knock over bumps, a car that wanders or pulls, or tyres wearing on one edge are the usual signs that something has worn.

Suspension and steering: common questions
Anything else, ask D&R on WhatsApp. Photos or a short video of the problem help.
Build a booking messageAre broken coil springs common?
Yes, especially with potholes on UK roads. A broken spring can damage a tyre or make the car pull, and it's an MOT failure, so get it looked at once you hear the knock.
Should springs and shock absorbers be changed in pairs?
It's strongly recommended, across the same axle, so both sides behave the same way. A new part on one side and a worn one on the other makes the vehicle handle unevenly.
